Healthy Apple Banana Walnut Protein Muffins



1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup golden raisins
2 scoops vanilla protein powder
2 mashed ripe bananas
1 cup apple sauce (no sugar added)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 T honey
1 1/2 T baking powder 
1 T cinnamon
1/2 T nutmeg
1 tsp. dried ginger
2 tsp. banana flavoring (found near the vanilla extract)  *optional
1 T canola oil
3/4 cup water or apple juice
1/2 tsp. salt

Makes 14-16 muffins

Combine all of the dry ingredients then add the wet ingredients and beat with a mixer to combine. 
Scoop batter into muffin cups filling about 3/4 of the way full.
Sprinkle the tops of muffins with more rolled oats.
Bake on 350 for 16-18 minutes.
Let cool before eating.
